I ordered two cots on Sunday and recieved them on Tuesday. No cuts in the carring cases at all. I saw on here sooooooo many people was having difficulty putting the end bars on and I hesitated but thought I'd give it a try. Now I am a 60 year old woman so bare this in mind --- there's a trick to it --- after folding out the cot take one end bar and snap one side in place then sit down on the floor in front of that end --- place your two feet on the steel frame towards the top and pull on the side of the end bar that needs to be snapped into place. The leverage you get from pushing with your feet and pulling with your hands makes this process very doable. Then just repeat the same process on the remaining end --- that end is tighter --- because the canvas is stretched tight --- so you have to pull and push harder but I did it and I'm sure ---useing this method --- you can to. As far as the weight --- I myself didn't plan on hiking or hunting --- which requires carring the cot long distances --- I just wanted them for camping, thus I wanted a heavy made steel cot for durability and thats what I got. I would suggest an aluminum cot for people wanting to carry them long distances as they are lighter. I hope this helps everyone trying to decide about getting them --- I am 100% satisfied with my Coleman cots and with Walmarts!!!
