I bought this 2016 FS12T new but as a clearance item for $499.00 and am very happy with this purchase. I upgraded from a Sun Dolphin Journey 10 as I wanted additional space, better stability, better tracking and a seat that did not leave my butt numb after 1 hour of fishing. The FS12T delivered on all fronts. It is stable, tracks excellently, actually pretty fast for a SOT and the seat allows me to fish for hours without a sore butt. I have fished in rivers, streams and on lakes and have been happy with its performance in all situations. Actually got caught in rapids, not the kayaks fault, with water flowing over top of the kayak and was not afraid of flipping over. Extracted myself from the situation and the water ran out of the scupper holes and the storage areas remained pretty dry. The kayak is heavy and I use a trailer to haul it. I also installed side handles to help move it around. But, besides that it is really a good roomy, comfortable SOT kayak that tracks well and is fast enough for fishing. Recommend this kayak to anyone who wants to upgrade to a well made kayak that will not break the bank.
